    Robert Charles Hedderwick Bruce (“Rob”) was educated at Wellington College, and then trained at St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School, qualifying in 1993 (including a BSc in physiology). Rob was a hugely popular member of the medical school, was a talented sportsman, and had a wide range of interests affiliated to medicine.
