Polio vaccination resumes in Pakistan: The Pakistan government has signed an agreement with the Taliban to resume vaccination of children against polio in Swat, northern Pakistan, after a break of 16 months. However, a religious cleric, Maulana Fazlullah, has issued a decree that claims that the vaccine is a tool used by the United States to render the recipients impotent and infertile to cut the Muslim population.
