NHS to improve facilities for dying patients:A £1m (€1.26m; $1.95m) programme funded by the Department of Health and led by the King’s Fund will look at ways to improve how the NHS deals with dying patients and their families. Nurse-led teams in 19 NHS trusts and one prison will undertake a range of projects including having new palliative care beds, dedicated bereavement suites, and refurbishedmortuary viewing facilities.
