Routine HPV vaccine is recommended for 12 and 13 year girls: The body that advises the UK government on vaccines has recommended that all girls aged 12 or 13 should routinely receive the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine. The Joint Committee for Vaccination and Immunisation says that the vaccine is beneficial. The Department of Health has agreed in principle and said that vaccination in England could begin in 2008.
