More doctors and fewer managers are working for NHS: The NHS workforce census shows that 3267 more doctors are now working for the NHS than there were in September 2005 and that the number of managers has fallen by 2508 full time equivalent posts. The overall number of people working for the NHS has fallen by 17 000 since September 2005.
