Bosco was born in a little village called Kuttapully in the south of India on 30 May 1935. The family moved to Madras to settle where they had their business and he and his four sisters were educated. Bosco was at high school in St Mary's, Madras, and went on to do his medical studies at Madras Medical College. He was captain of the boxing team and hockey goalkeeper for Madras University. He was a keen tennis and badminton player. He qualified in 1960 and started to do his postgraduate studies. …
