The NHS in England and Wales has launched a free electronic resource to bring together quality assured medical research relating to different ethnic groups and cultures.
Muir Gray, director of clinical knowledge, process, and safety for Connecting for Health—which oversees the implementation of the NHS's national programme for information technology—said that the web based library (www.library.nhs.uk/ethnicity) will highlight substantial gaps in the knowledge of how treatments affect specific ethnic minorities.
