Admissions of children to hospital with asthma peak in the first few days of school after the summer holidays, a report from Australia has shown.
Admissions begin to rise after the first day and continue to increase until the middle of the fourth week of the new school term, says research in the journal Public Health (published online 10 Aug 2006, doi: 10.1016/j.puhe.2006.05.015).
