NHS hospitals urged to improve medicines management

The Healthcare Commission says that efforts to improve the prescribing and dispensing of medicines should be stepped up after an assessment of practice in 173 acute hospital trusts in England.
In the assessment, 18 hospital trusts received the highest rating of excellent, 70 were classed as good, 73 as fair, and 12 as weak.
