Surgeons in England and Wales may need to work for a network rather than a specific NHS trust in the future to meet demand in their local area, says a new consultation document.
The Royal College of Surgeons of England last week published the first in a series of consultation papers on reconfiguring surgical services (emergency and elective) in England and Wales and set out several proposals.
