The World Health Organization plans to establish a 100 member strong expert rapid response group that can be deployed at short notice to help contain an outbreak of human pandemic influenza. Keiji Fukuda, the acting cordinator of WHO's global influenza programme, told reporters that the health agency was initially trying to identify about 100 experts worldwide in epidemiology and laboratory and operational logistics.
