Side panels focused on the emergency management of patients with severe disease, which opened up to reveal more detailed tips and recommendations. Desk blotters were often used in dialogue with patientsRevised acknowledgment for Drs Robert Scherpbier and Salah-Eddine
Drs Robert Scherpbier and Salah-Eddine Ottmani from the World Health Organization, who conceptualised PAL, the global model for a Practical Approach to Lung Health (PAL) from which PALSA drew its screening and syndromic approaches. The multi-country evaluation of the Practical Approach to Lung health (PAL) includes studies of the effectiveness, cost and public health impact of PAL in Chile, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, South Africa, and Nepal.
