UK doctors this week attacked as “seriously flawed” the 24 hour advice from nurses and health information services known as NHS Direct in England and Wales and NHS 24 in Scotland. Representatives at the BMA's annual meeting in Manchester condemned the services as flawed both in ease of access and with regard to clinical safety in relation to triage.
