    EDITOR—The facilities marked on the maps are trust headquarters, so fewer hospital locations are marked on the maps than there are hospitals dealing with acute conditions. We marked only headquarters because some of the administrative data we use (beds, waiting times) are available at trust level alone. Some data were missing for a few trusts undergoing change.
