Eve began anaesthetics soon after qualifying. She undertook a variety of jobs including paediatrics and anatomy demonstrating before settling to a consultant anaesthetics job at St Vincent's Orthopaedic Hospital in Northwood, Middlesex, where she worked from the 1960s until her retirement in 1994. Eve was an early member of the Medical Women's Federation, serving on its committee for many years. She was hugely musical, enjoying opera, chamber music, and concerts. She was elected to the Reform Club after her retirement. Predeceased by her husband, Meir, she leaves two daughters and a granddaughter.
