Iread this book on a recent trip to New York. On a beautiful spring day in Manhattan's upper east side, it is hard to believe that the annual rate of homicide in the city is the same as theannual rate for the whole of England and Wales. It doesn't take a minute in New York to work outthat reducing violence is an urgent political priority; so a book about an unusual approach to treating violent men should be of interest.
