Dear Editors,

Newborn babies continue to be illegally sold in Greece.

Exploited poor women, often from Romania and Bulgaria, are transferred to give birth in public hospitals in Greece.

Then, somehow, gangs manage to provide babies with different accompanying documents, which attach them to the new parents.

Many of these gangs were arrested in the past, but this unacceptable practice will cease only when proper bureaucratic procedures in public hospitals prevent trafficking by linking unique tracking numbers to babies.
