Doctors in Germany are protesting at being asked to collect €;10 (£7; $12) from all patients attending their practices from January next year. The payments will then be passed on to the country's health insurance companies.
Doctors want to be paid for the additional administrative work and want to be protected from any financial risk involved if patients do not pay.
