Facial transplantation should not be performed until more research is done on the procedure and the risks that go with it, says an expert group of surgeons from England.
The advice, from a working party from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, has been issued after concern from the charity Changing Faces that speculation in the press earlier this year about the possibility of facial transplants has been unrealistic. …
