EDITOR—Nazareth et al present data on the self reported prevalence of sexual problems among people consulting general practitioners and the diagnosis of such problems in the medical records of respondents.1 A parallel exists between the analysis of medical records in this study and self reported consultations for sexual problems previously published by my colleagues and me.2
