Two editorial errors occurred in this letter by Heather Goodare and others (14 June, p 1329).
In the first sentence of the third paragraph we mistakenly implied that patients with endometrial cancer are treated with tamoxifen. The sentence should have read: “The problem of developing endometrial cancer with tamoxifen treatment took many years to become obvious” [not: “The problems in patients with endometrial cancer who were taking tamoxifen took many years to become obvious,” as published].
We deleted the word widely in the last sentence of the first paragraph, which should have read: “In spite of this, the ‘results’ of the trial were widely reported in the British national press.”
