Consultant psychiatrist Dewsbury 1986–2002 (b 1950; q Trivandrum, Kerala, India, 1975; MRCPsych), died from cancer on 21 February 2003.
After graduation Halley undertook specialist training in psychiatry in England. As a consultant in Dewsbury he developed a multidisciplinary community based adult service. He had a special interest in forensic psychiatry and led the services for mentally disordered offenders. He served as college tutor and for six years as clinical director. He leaves a wife and three children.
