Family doctors who stand to lose money under the new GP contract have been given a guarantee that their income will be permanently protected.
Under a deal hammered out between ministers, the BMA, and the NHS Confederation a proposed minimum practice investment guarantee has been worked out that will ensure that no practice loses out under the new arrangements.
The deal was agreed by the BMA's General Practitioners Committee last week after a fraught couple of weeks for the association's team of negotiators. They had been forced to abandon the original ballot on …
