The connection between this week's cover image and doctors' wellbeing may not be immediately obvious—but we liked the message of renewal in this 16th century Dutch painting. People with heads they did not like could go to the bakers and have them kneaded and rebaked (p 695). While all that was going on cabbages would be temporarily placed on their necks.
