After graduation and house jobs, Helen embarked on a promising career in psychiatry, firstly in Shrewsbury and then in Oxford. Her compassion and insight into others made her a highly intuitive psychiatrist. Helen's cheerfulness and enthusiasm made her both popular and well respected. She was highly principled but always accepting of others' viewpoints. Having been diagnosed as having cancer, Helen's strength of character came into its own. She leaves a husband, Tony.
