Susan Jean England Kerr
After house jobs in Kidderminster and Portsmouth, Susan ran her father's general practice for five months when he had open heart surgery. A spell as a ship's surgeon on a refrigerated cargo ship to New Zealand introduced Sue to her future husband, chief engineer John Griffiths. She worked as a locum in many parts of New Zealand before returning to the United Kingdom and doing her vocational training. She eventually joined a practice covering Milford and some of Lymington on the edge of the New Forest. Sue was passionate about wildlife, flora, and fauna and was knowledgeable about fungi and orchids in particular. She leaves a husband, John, and two sons.
