Use of painkillers associated with hypertension: A study of 80000 women carried out by Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health has shown a significantly increased risk of hypertension associated with the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and with paracetamol (acetaminophen), but not with aspirin (Archives of Internal Medicine2002;162:2204-8).
