PFI schemes should be vigorously opposed

    The annual representative meeting of the BMA last week called for the association to pursue its opposition to the private finance initiative (PFI), to fund schemes to inform the public of the long term implications of PFI, and to commission an audit of existing PFI schemes in the NHS.
