Member states of the European region of the World Health Organization have agreed to establish a coordinated alert system to facilitate rapid response to incidents involving the deliberate use of chemical agents by terrorists.
Improved communication at national and international levels is central to responding effectively to acts and threats of chemical terrorism, agreed the European member states and other international organisations attending a recent meeting on the issue.
