Rapid responses are electronic comments to the editor. They enable our users
to debate issues raised in articles published on bmj.com. A rapid response
is first posted online. If you need the URL (web address) of an individual
response, simply click on the response headline and copy the URL from the
browser window. A proportion of responses will, after editing, be published
online and in the print journal as letters, which are indexed in PubMed.
Rapid responses are not indexed in PubMed and they are not journal articles.
The BMJ reserves the right to remove responses which are being
wilfully misrepresented as published articles or when it is brought to our
attention that a response spreads misinformation.
From March 2022, the word limit for rapid responses will be 600 words not
including references and author details. We will no longer post responses
that exceed this limit.
The word limit for letters selected from posted responses remains 300 words.
Dear sir
It was shocking news to hear that there is going to be a nuclear war
between these relegious and old enemies. We are very proud of Indian and
Pakistani doctors who presented a paper to the prime minister regarding
the disasters involved with nuclear war very good intention. We hope this
letter opened the eyes of some of the blind leaders. It is very
unfortunate that the people of these two countries are mislead by leaders
towards cast or relegious wars for their selfish benifits. We learnt how
the people and leaders of developed nations are working so hard to move
foward scintifically in 21 century. The leaders and people of developing
nations have to learn the importance of peace, science & research,
respect toward fellowbeings and other relegions, honesty, sincerity and
hardwork from the developed nations. We already have very good example of
the disastrous effects of nuclear bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasakhi, these
places are still recovering after world war. India and Pakistan are
already far behind the developed nations, and now the nuclear war will mean
a big blow to the health and economic development. We hope that whole
world`s interest in the wellbeing of these countries will reach the dunb,
blind and deaf people of these countries. We want to convey this message
to the people and leaders of these countries with love and best interest.
with best wishes to the people of India and Pakistan.

It will be disastrous for the earth to experience another nuclear
war. We just can't afford to risk it. This is a very simple truth that our
lunatic leadership sould understand as fast as they can. People from all
walks and professions should raise massive protest against the horrible
threat that looms large over our head and optimum diplomatic pressure
should be created on the silly rulers of the two countries by
international political forces and organizations who have significant
direct or indirect control over global affairs.
THE NEED OF PEACE AND HORMONY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT
