Despite strong observational evidence linking housing and health, it is still not known if housing improvements can improve health. Thomson et al (p 187) conducted a systematic review of studies of housing interventions on health. Although many of the studies found that health improved after the interventions, the studies were small and often did not adjust for potential confounding factors.
