    EDITOR—The editorial by Sørensen and Echwald recognises the substantial effect of environmental factors on obesity but, surprisingly, gives the impression that childhood environment is not important.1 It cites twin and adoption studies that confirmed the absence of effects of the environment in which they were raised. 2 3
