Any time that I hear the word “tradition,” I want to throw up. Traditional is another word for outmoded, narrow minded, tacky, obsolete, kitsch. As living proof, walk into any Olde Tyme shop which sells Traditional Arts and Crafts and have a look around: baskets made out of reeds marinated in dead otter phlegm; useless ornaments sculpted in irritating tweed; pathetically unfashionable and impractical Aran sweaters.
