The American Medical Association (AMA) is in turmoil after a decision by its chief executive to sue the association's board of trustees and its incoming chairman.
Dr E Ratcliffe Anderson, chief executive officer of the association, has filed a lawsuit claiming that the organisation took away his power to fire the head of the legal department after questions arose about a multimillion dollar property deal.
