Israeli psychiatrists propose new law on hospital admissions

    Israeli psychiatrists who a decade ago facilitated a law giving psychiatrists the responsibility for the forced admission to hospital of mentally ill patients now want to place the ball in the court of the judicial sector.

    Currently over 4000 Israelis in an average year are sent to psychiatric wards against their will.
