Grouplegal action launched over retained organs

    Bereaved families who were shocked to discover that their relatives' organs had been retained after hospital postmortem examinations and not buried with their bodies won the go-ahead at the High Court in London last week for a mass action for compensation.

    Four hundred people have so far consulted 17 firms of solicitors, but lawyers said the claim could include many more.
