The General Medical Council has organised a special one day consultative conference next month, when it will discuss its modernisation plans with its critics in an attempt to forge an agreement.
The initiative has been welcomed by the BMA, which warned recently that it would be forced to withdraw support from the GMC's system of revalidation as currently proposed.
