The genetics watchdog in Britain has recommended a three year ban on the use of genetic test results by insurance companies after the industry failed to prevent its members from using unapproved tests.
The Human Genetics Commission has added an extra 12 months to the moratorium on the use of genetic test results recommended by MPs last month (14 April, p 883). The time is needed to gather more information on the complex issues …
