Two consultant dermatologists were found guilty last week by the General Medical Council of serious professional misconduct for passing on false allegations that a member of an appointments committee might be biased.
Jeffrey Cream, a consultant at the Chelsea and Westminster, Charing Cross, and West Middlesex Hospitals and Pauline Dowd, a consultant at University College London Hospitals, were reprimanded by the GMC's professional conduct committee.
