Healthcare staff involved in screening services are being asked to make a fundamental shift in their approach to their work. Instead of over-selling services, as they might have sometimes done in the past, staff should explain the limitations and risks associated with screening, as well as its benefits, a report from the UK National Screening Committee has said.
