    Cervical Screening Wales, launched this week by Welsh health minister Jon Owen Jones, is aiming to provide women in the principality with equal access to a uniform high quality service.

    Five health authorities previously ran the national screening programme, and the new organisation is designed to ensure that there is clear accountability for quality as well as regular monitoring.
