Health authority appeals on screening negligence

    East Kent Health Authority is to appeal against a High Court ruling which the Department of Health believes could threaten the cervical screening programme throughout Britain. Backed by the NHS Litigation Authority (NHSLA), the health authority is seeking to overturn a judgment in which it was found negligent in classifying four cervical slides taken from three women as negative.
