Doctors often express the wish to develop their medicolegal skills. Courses may help, but one suspects that a little networking wouldn't do any harm. One place you might start is by attending the meetings of the Medico-Legal Society, open only to members, though membership, according to the society's Medico-Legal Journal is for “anyone interested in medico-legal matters.” Enquiries to: Mr Ian Barker, Honorary Legal Secretary, Mssrs Hempsons, 33 Henrietta Street, Covent Garden, London WC2E 8NH.
