Since Christmas the annual university disorders have recurred in Italy. This year they began in the University of Palermo, where the students were desirous of obtaining an additional session of examinations. Professor Baccelli, the Minister of Public Instruction, refused to grant the request and threatened to close the University for the academic year if they did not cease the disorders, which had also extended to the University of Naples.
