    The Lord Chancellor, Lord Irvine, has announced a wide ranging shake up of legal aid and civil justice, which will have far reaching repercussions for medical negligence litigation in England and Wales.

    Legal aid is to be withdrawn from all money and damages claims, including medical negligence.
