CAREER-F, the electronic discussion list that complements Career Focus's mission to help doctors develop their careers, got off to a flying start last week with contributions on medicine and the law and avoiding the PLAB. If you'd like to participate send an email message addressed to listserv@listserv.bma.org.uk. In the body of the message send the command SUBSCRIBE CAREER-F followed by your own name. Our server will generate an automated reply with full instructions within a few moments, and you will start to receive messages posted to the list, which you can just read (known as ‘lurking’), or reply to as well. If you've got a career question it's a powerful way of getting a number of perspectives on possible answers.
