Changes in the membership and procedures of NHS trust boards were announced this week by Britain's health secretary, Frank Dobson, as the Labour government works it way through the commitments of its election manifesto.
Mr Dobson wants trust boards to be more representative of their local communities and all board meetings to be open to the public. He will shortly ask parliament …
