Widow promised rethink over insemination ban: The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority has said that it will reconsider whether Diane Blood can have her dead husband's child by artificial insemination abroad. Earlier this month Mrs Blood lost her High Court fight to use her husband's sperm for in vitro fertilisation in Britain. The authority said last week that it had discretion over whether to allow export of the sperm.
