Advice on treatment of handicapped babies offered

Medical staff and parents in the Netherlands facing ethical dilemmas concerning the treatment of newborn babies with severe multiple handicaps are being offered neutral advice from a network of experts.

The dilemma foundation was set up with a national contact telephone number on 1 October and with support from the Dutch paediatric association and society of obstetrics and gynaecology.
