Computer prescribing scheme gets green light

First results of trials of the computerised prescribing system Prodigy are encouraging, and trials will continue, according to health minister Gerald Malone. Almost eight out of 10 general practices taking part in the trials, however, thought that the guidelines and software needed to be improved.
